Setting Up a Moodle VPS + Moodle Training

R4,000.00 – R8,500.00

We will provision a Virtual Private Server (VPS) which we will configure optimally to run Moodle. We will then install a clean instance of Moodle. This service also includes Moodle training of which the fees are reflected in the dropdown.  The 2-day training follows our standard Moodle course outline.

We have three VPS options.


VPS - Bronze (R1000.00 per month)

  • 1 CPU vCore
  • 1 GB Memory
  • 20 GB SSD Storage
  • 500 GB Traffic /mo

There is a one-off setup fee of R1000.00.


VPS - Silver (R1500.00 per month)

  • 1 CPU vCores
  • 2 GB Memory
  • 50 GB SSD Storage
  • 700 GB Traffic /mo

There is a one-off setup fee of R1000.00.


VPS - Gold (R2000.00 per month)

  • 2 CPU vCores
  • 3 GB Memory
  • 100 GB SSD Storage
  • Unmetered Traffic

There is a one-off setup fee of R1000.00.

The monthly fee includes:

  • Updating and securing the operating system
  • Monitoring the firewall to keep hackers out
  • Updating and securing Moodle
  • Backing up Moodle once per week (keep the latest 2 copies)
  • Backing up the database twice per day (we will keep the latest 8 copies)
  • Implementing and monitoring the free SSL certificate
  • Monitoring the VPS for optimisation

Setup turnaround time is 24 -48 hours after payment of the setup fee and first month’s fee.

We will set up a subdomain that will point to the Moodle instance. Thus, your web address will be for example: learn.domain.co.za

VPS Option

Training Option
